ABOUT THIS COURSE

Communication is critical to becoming an active member of the healthcare team. Too often, we accept what doctors tell us without fully understanding the conversation or clinical issues, making it virtually impossible to make informed decisions about care. This ACES presentation will discuss how patients and advocates can prepare for medical visits - complete with a goal and a list of questions - that can be asked and answered during a medical visit. A successful visit is when you leave the doctor’s office feeling questions have been answered and you understand and agree with the patients plan of care.
