About the Presentation

Accelerating Patient Safety Through Partnership

This presentation will explore the integration of patient and family caregiver/advocate perspectives as a key strategy for achieving safer healthcare systems. Patient and family partners have critical insights that can inform the design of effective patient safety programs.
During this session we'll share multiple examples of hospitals, large and small, which have successfully integrated people with lived experience in their local health systems to reduce harm across the board. While patient/family engagement is supported in theory, participants will learn to recognize high impact and sustainable partnerships. Whether your local healthcare organization is just getting started with engaging the community or you’re looking for new ways to engage, join us for this interactive session.
